Job summary

Johnsonville is seeking an IT Platform Solutions Engineer to configure and maintain the organization’s IT platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security across environments.

The role emphasizes observability, automation, and secure-by-design practices, with on-call rotation and potential travel commitments. Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of platform experience are desired.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; desirable
Minimum 5 years direct experience with platform solutions including configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, monitoring and deployment
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container tech (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong scripting/automation skills and DevOps mindset

Responsibilities

Configure, deploy, and maintain IT platforms and systems across environments
Implement observability with metrics, logs, traces, health checks, and alerts
Monitor performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks for reliability and scalability
Collaborate with security to embed secure-by-design practices
Automate platform provisioning and configuration management; create documentation
Participate in on-call rotation and support vendor engagements
