Job summary
Johnsonville is seeking an IT Platform Solutions Engineer to configure and maintain our IT platforms across the enterprise, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and optimize infrastructure. You will drive observability, automation, and secure-by-design practices, participate in on‑call rotations, and contribute to Johnsonville’s reliability and performance goals.
This role requires 5+ years of platform experience and cloud/container expertise.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in platform solutions, with config, troubleshooting, and deployment.
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible.
Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and maintain IT platforms and systems.
- Implement and optimize configurations for performance and scalability.
- Define, implement, and improve observability (metrics/logs/traces/alerts) for platform health.
- Monitor platform performance and remediate bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Embed security as a reliability concern with defense‑in‑depth practices.
- Engineer automation for provisioning, configuration, remediation and routine tasks.
- Create and maintain documentation for configurations and procedures.
- Respond to and resolve platform-related issues and participate in on‑call rotation.
