Job summary

PhysicsX Ltd. in New York, NY, is seeking Platform Support Engineers to be first responders for enterprise customers and internal users. You’ll own intake-to-resolution, triage issues, perform first-pass investigations, provide updates, and escalate when needed.

This hybrid NYC role requires hands-on work with Kubernetes, Linux, containers, and GitOps practices. You’ll collaborate with product, SRE, and deployment teams, build runbooks, and shape the platform as we grow.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong triage and escalation judgement.
• Working Kubernetes familiarity.
• A GitOps mindset: PR-based changes and environment promotion.
• Strong Linux and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Cloud fundamentals and log/metrics reading.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming issues and classify severity across product, platform, and customer environments.
• Investigate and log progress with logs, events, config, and timeline; escalate when needed.
• Follow a structured incident process with clear handovers and post-mortems.
• Debug inside the platform and manage Kubernetes workloads.
• Practice GitOps, PR changes, and controlled live edits.
• Communicate updates clearly to customers and internal teams.
