Job summary

Paddle is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen the reliability of our platform and empower product teams with automated infrastructure and resilient services. You will work across AWS, containerized systems, and modern observability tools to keep services available and scalable.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to design robust runbooks, implement auto-scaling, and continually improve performance while maintaining a secure, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Significant software development background with production services.
• Experience working across the AWS ecosystem and operating production systems.
• Curiosity about AI and its impact on software development.
• Collaborative, security-minded, and detail-oriented, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of networking and Linux administration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tools to maximise engineering efficiency, including automation for deployment infrastructure and database upgrades.
• Identify processes to automate and improve Developer Experience.
• Collaborate with engineers to enable their work and run regular cross-team initiatives.
• Create, test, and maintain disaster recovery tooling and runbooks for resilience.
• Handle production incidents and produce blameless postmortems to improve reliability.
