Job summary

Paddle is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to lead the intersection of infrastructure, security, and automation. This hands-on role drives secure, scalable systems across Enterprise IT and Product environments, mentoring peers and shaping the security posture company-wide.

You’ll design IaC, automate operations, implement CI/CD for safe change delivery, and collaborate with IT, InfoSec, and Platform teams to meet CIS Benchmarks and GRC goals while accelerating global delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering, site reliability engineering, and security.
• Ability to design and implement infrastructure, automation, and security tooling.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Enterprise IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation initiatives to improve reliability and security at scale.
• Design and implement integrations across IT and security systems.
• Develop and maintain IaC for identity, network, and security tooling.
• Champion security standards including CIS Benchmarks and GRC initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects aligned with the Enterprise Technology roadmap.
• Mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
