Job summary

Paddle is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to lead infrastructure, security, and automation. You will drive the evolution of our systems across Enterprise IT and Product environments, empowering a global team to operate securely and efficiently while meeting industry standards.

You will design, build, and maintain IaC for identity, network, and security tooling, and champion compliance with CIS Benchmarks, SOC 2, and PCI DSS. Collaboration with IT, InfoSec, and Platform teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in systems engineering, SRE, or security engineering.
• Proven ability to deliver across IT and security domains with autonomy.
• Strong knowledge of automation, integration, and orchestration practices.

Responsibilities

• Automate operational processes for scalability and reliability.
• Design and optimise integrations across IT and security systems.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code for identity, network and security tooling.
• Champion security standards, CIS benchmarks, SOC 2, PCI DSS compliance.
• Support GRC initiatives, audit evidence gathering, and process efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver Enterprise Technology roadmaps.
• Secure AWS cloud infrastructure and partner with Platform teams for scale.
• Develop internal docs and knowledge bases for operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers across InfoSec, IT and Engineering.
