Fastly is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Platform Security team, focusing on Trust and Identity infrastructure. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone with deep experience in secure platform services at scale.

You will drive internal authentication, identity, and access control systems, shape Fastly’s internal trust architecture, and collaborate across Product, Security, Compliance, and Engineering to deliver resilient, secure, and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a technical capacity as an individual contributor.
• Experience in Privileged Access Management, workload identity management, LDAP, secrets management, or trust systems.
• Strong systems engineering background with Linux, networking, and distributed systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in Go, Python, or Rust and infrastructure tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term vision for trust and identity infrastructure and translate it into execution plans.
• Design and implement scalable internal trust solutions such as secrets management, PKI, and authentication services.
• Own complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and org-wide impact.
• Promote engineering excellence with standards, code quality, reliability, and operational maturity.
