Job summary

Anaconda, Inc. is expanding its Security team to protect and enable the Anaconda platform as we scale beyond 50 million users. You will design and implement security controls, automation, and guardrails to reduce systemic risk while helping engineering teams ship faster.

This role focuses on building secure-by-default systems through hands-on engineering, not policy enforcement. We value proactive security, cross-team collaboration, and scalable security practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Terraform.
• Scripting in Python/Go/Bash to automate security tasks.
• Knowledge of IAM, PKI, cryptography basics, network protocols, and threat modeling.
• Ability to communicate security risks to non-security audiences and work with developers.

Responsibilities

• Design security controls across multi-cloud environments (firewalls, IAM, EDR, secrets management).
• Build security automation and tooling using Python, Go, and Bash with IaC via Terraform.
• Lead vulnerability management by triaging findings and driving risk reduction.
• Perform code reviews and architecture assessments to identify security risks early.
• Embed security into CI/CD pipelines with SAST/DAST and dependency scanning.
• Respond to security incidents and maintain runbooks for escalation.
