Job summary

OceanFirst Bank seeks a Branch Engagement Banker (Platform Sales) in New York, NY to drive growth, profitability and customer retention at the Chatham Square branch. You will partner with the Branch Manager to create a proactive sales environment and deliver high-quality service to current and prospective customers.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years of bank platform sales experience and a high school diploma; bilingual English and Cantonese or Mandarin is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fosters a relationship banking environment using consultative selling to meet customer needs and deepen relationships.
• Assist the Branch Manager in identifying new business opportunities, soliciting loans, processing applications, and closing loans.
• Lead sales meetings, coach staff, and ensure team has tools and resources to succeed.
• Outbound calls to promote Bank products and identify opportunities for deposits, cards, wealth and trust services.
• Respond to complex customer inquiries and perform account maintenance duties.
• Meet and exceed annual sales goals and support department-wide targets.
• Manage branch sales reports, call lists, and prepare operational and sales reports.
• Oversee daily branch operations and ensure adherence to policy and audit standards.
• Coach and cross-train staff to build a well-rounded team.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and customer standards; provide notary services if licensed.
