Job summary

Kunai Co. is seeking a product leader to own credit decisioning, fulfillment, and acquisitions for a growing Personal Loans business. You will own the backend services and platform capabilities powering loan approval and issuance.

You will partner with engineering to design scalable platform-based solutions, lead scrum teams, and translate banking requirements into precise product specs while aligning with risk and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading backend services and distributed systems, preferably platform-based products.
• Banking or financial services experience, credit decisioning or lending a strong plus.
• Strong stakeholder management across business, risk and engineering.
• Ability to translate complex banking requirements into clear specs.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for credit decisioning, fulfillment, and acquisitions.
• Define requirements for backend services and distributed systems for Personal Loans originations.
• Partner with engineering to design scalable platform-based products.
• Lead scrum teams through planning, backlog management, and ceremonies.
• Translate banking rules into actionable product specs.
• Align decisioning logic with risk and compliance stakeholders.
• Prioritize backlog balancing new capabilities with reliability and scale.
• Make data-informed tradeoffs on what ships now vs later.
• Communicate roadmap and decisions to stakeholders and leadership.
