Stellantis is seeking a Platform Packaging Technical Specialist to lead vehicle architecture, packaging, and integration for new programs. You will guide technical direction, establish priorities, mentor engineers, and ensure consistent execution across programs and regions.
The role emphasizes leading an extended cross-functional team, facilitating trade-off decisions, and presenting risks and concepts to senior management.
The Platform Packaging Technical Specialist serves as the technical leader for vehicle architecture, packaging, and integration activities supporting the development of new vehicles that meet future regulatory requirements and competitive customer expectations. The Technical Specialist provides day‑to‑day technical direction to the Platform Packaging team, establishes priorities and engineering standards, mentors team members, and ensures consistent execution across programs and regions. Responsibilities include establishing the physical and functional integration of vehicle systems and components during the program planning phase (concept through program approval), translating strategic and functional objectives into technical requirements, creating and analyzing alternative design concepts, packaging and integrating systems and components, benchmarking competitive vehicles, and resolving packaging and adaptation issues as programs move toward production. The candidate will lead an extended cross‑functional team, facilitate technical trade‑off decisions, identify and escalation risks, and balance competing requirements to achieve the optimal vehicle‑level solution. The role will act as a primary technical interface with program leadership and key stakeholders and will present recommendations, design concepts, status, and risks to senior management. This is a team leadership position focused on technical direction, coordination, and capability development; it does not replace the people‑management responsibilities of the functional manager.
