Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Platform Operations Manager to drive design, development, and deployment of a modern stack for the D3P modernization program. You will oversee a containerized microservices platform, ensure uptime, performance, and reliability, and foster DevSecOps across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced DoD environment.

The role requires DoD 8570 II+ certification, Top Secret/SCI eligibility, strong leadership, and expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, Elasticsearch, and data services.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience with a technical degree; 13+ with a Master’s.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II+ certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, SSCP, CISSP).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Linux, cloud services (prefer AWS), and containerized environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale production systems with incident response and reliability metrics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uptime, performance, and capacity planning for a large-scale data platform.
• Lead triage, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
• Define and track SLIs/SLOs; mentor system administrators; coordinate with engineering teams.
