Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Project Management Analyst to support the Platform Modernization (PM) team. You will evaluate labor, materials, and schedules, track cost performance, and manage scope changes to ensure program objectives align with Navy standards.

You will build Excel trackers and dashboards, interpret government drawings, and support change orders while mentoring teammates to strengthen PMO workflows within a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Evaluate and interpret labor, material, subcontractor, and schedule details from bid through award.
• Review technical government drawings and Conditions Found Reports for planning.
• Proficient in Excel dashboards for data evaluation and reporting.
• Experience evaluating scope changes, cost and schedule impacts, and documenting Change Orders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee labor, material, subcontractor, and schedule evaluation to align bids with program objectives.
• Interpret government drawings and LARs/RLARs to support planning and execution.
• Build and maintain Excel-based trackers and dashboards for cost trends and schedule performance.
• Review scope changes and translate into cost impacts, schedule updates, and change-order docs.
• Support C4I contract activities, ensuring deliverables and reporting meet requirements.
• Apply Navy POAM standards to daily work for compliance with maintenance and modernization.
• Identify process improvements and mentor teammates to strengthen PMO workflows.
• Share knowledge to help raise the team’s technical understanding.
