Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Platform Infrastructure Engineer for our client, an early-stage startup and data lab focused on building post-training datasets and reinforcement learning environments for software engineering and AI R&D. This is a full-time, fully onsite position based in San Francisco, CA.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and scale the core infrastructure powering our client's AI data-production platform. In this role, you will take ownership of developing reliable, high-performance systems that support the creation of reinforcement learning environments and post-training datasets for leading frontier AI labs. You will work closely with research and engineering teams to build seamless integrations, improve platform capabilities, and ensure infrastructure can scale alongside growing customer demand.

• Fast code comprehension + problem-solving (self-contained, non-LeetCode rounds: finding bugs/issues in the JVM, writing async I/O, etc.)
• High slope, results-driven, deeply committed

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This direct hire position offers a salary of $250,000-300,000 annually.
