Job summary

Qualtrics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Platform Infrastructure to build and operate foundational software used by engineering teams. The role focuses on cost-effective workloads, tooling, and Kubernetes orchestration as the platform evolves, with collaboration across AWS, security, and compliance teams.

You’ll work on Go-based services, run on EKS, and contribute to scalable, high-availability systems across Qualtrics engineering. Hybrid office model applies in Seattle area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in developing and operating large scale software systems.
• Experience with professional software engineering practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documents).
• Experience in high-level languages like Go and scripting languages like Bash.
• Experience building software or systems that can serve multiple teams or an entire company.
• Experience with Kubernetes (ideally EKS), including workload/resource management and policy enforcement.
• Systems debugging in a Linux environment; healthy balance of platform and software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Influence the way engineers run applications through best-in-class tooling and services.
• Create, deploy, and operate services that meet availability, scalability, and performance goals.
• Help define how Qualtrics engineers operate containerized workloads.
• Architect services and design best practices for service discovery for all Qualtrics engineering.
• Participate in periodic on-call responsibilities as part of a global team.
