Job summary

Reflection is seeking a Platform Foundations Lead to steer the foundational layer across cloud, networking, security, and developer tooling. You will mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, guide architectural decisions, and stay technically engaged while managing vendor relationships.

You will shape scalable, secure, and cost-predictable foundations and partner with research and engineering to enable rapid delivery across multiple cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Experience building, mentoring, and leading infrastructure/platform teams while remaining technically hands-on.
• Ownership of production-scale systems and end-to-end platform responsibility.
• Strong coding ability and credibility to earn trust of a capable team.
• Ability to guide strategy across multi-cloud, multi-team environments and partner with research.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of infrastructure and platform engineers.
• Provide front-line leadership of the foundational platform across cloud, networking, security, and developer tooling.
• Stay hands-on and contribute as an individual contributor when needed.
• Manage day-to-day execution and project prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
• Guide technical and architectural decisions focusing on scalability, security, and cost predictability.
• Collaborate with research and engineering teams and manage cloud vendor relationships.
