Job summary

Acceler8 Talent in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Platform Firmware Engineer to own the firmware that brings accelerator systems to life and keeps them secure, healthy and observable from boot to production. You will work across boot ROM, embedded controllers and BMC, implementing secure boot, power management and telemetry.

The role involves hands-on lab work on boards and post-silicon bring-up, collaborating with silicon and software teams.

Qualifications

Hands-on 5+ years delivering firmware for boot ROM, bootloaders, BMC and accelerator devices.
Own production firmware from development to validation and debug.
Strong understanding of firmware-hardware boot and platform operation.
Experience debugging hardware-software issues in lab during bring-up.
Experience with secure boot, authenticated updates, power management, telemetry or hardware debug interfaces.
Ability to work across firmware, silicon and board boundaries with ownership.

Responsibilities

Develop firmware across boot ROM, bootloaders, embedded controllers, BMC and accelerators.
Implement secure boot and hardware root-of-trust flows with code signing and updates.
Build power-management firmware for sequencing, PMIC, DVFS and thermal protection.
Develop monitoring and telemetry across sensors and health reporting.
Develop JTAG/scan and debug infrastructure for on-board and post-silicon bring-up.
Collaborate with silicon, architecture, board and software teams on interfaces and design decisions.
