Job summary

Quanta Manufacturing Fremont is seeking a BIOS/UEFI Firmware Engineer to design, implement, and debug UEFI/BIOS firmware for computer systems. You will lead hardware bring-up, collaborate with hardware and OS teams, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring Secure Boot and TPM integration.

The role requires strong C/C++ skills for embedded firmware, UEFI/EDK2 knowledge, and experience with debugging tools. This onsite position in Fremont, CA offers growth within the Engineering Services group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of BIOS/UEFI firmware development with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and UEFI/EDK2 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain UEFI/BIOS firmware using C/C++.
• Lead hardware bring-up and debugging across CPU, memory, and peripherals.
• Ensure correct initialization of DDR, PCIe, USB, and other interfaces.
• Optimize boot performance and implement firmware security measures (Secure Boot, TPM).
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews; write documentation.
