Job summary

Acceler8 Talent is seeking a Firmware Engineer in Mountain View to own the platform firmware for next‑gen AI accelerators. You will tackle boot ROM, BMC/embedded controllers, device firmware, and security features from inception to deployment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in firmware, strong C/assembly skills, and hands-on experience with secure boot, RoT, and power-management firmware, plus telemetry and debugging capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong C and assembly programming skills.
• 5+ years in platform/system firmware development.
• Experience with bare-metal or RTOS on ARM.
• Secure boot, hardware root of trust, code signing, secure updates.
• Power-management firmware development experience.
• Monitoring, telemetry, and debugging expertise.
• Comfort at hardware/software boundary; lab bring-up with test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop platform firmware across the stack: boot ROM, embedded controllers, BMC, and device firmware.
• Implement secure boot, RoT, code signing, and anti-rollback features.
• Develop power-management firmware: sequencing, PMICs, DVFS, thermal control.
• Build monitoring/telemetry for sensors, health, RAS, and interfaces.
• Support board/post-silicon bring-up using JTAG and related tools.
• Collaborate with silicon, hardware, and software teams on interfaces and HW/SW co-design.
• Leverage modern tooling to accelerate firmware development and code review.
