Job summary

Bentley Systems is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to manage platform software development teams in Philadelphia. This hybrid role partners with the Head of Software Engineering to drive high-performance teams and ship meaningful software that powers digital twin platforms.

You will establish delivery processes, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product management and the Chief Technology Officer to implement a scalable architecture and a compelling technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development with leadership of distributed teams.
• Strong emotional intelligence and collaborative leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to executive audiences.
• Experience building developer platforms, APIs, or standards.
• Bonus: open-source platforms, geospatial and digital twin tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineers to high performance and autonomy.
• Establish processes for continuous delivery of quality software.
• Promote openness and teamwork across teams and open-source communities.
• Partner with Head of Engineering on hiring, coaching, performance growth.
• Collaborate with Product Management and DCTO on scalable architecture roadmap.
