Qualifications

• Proven experience directly managing platform engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on background with cloud infrastructure (AWS), Kubernetes, and CI/CD / release engineering.
• Demonstrated people-management strengths: coaching, mentorship, performance management.
• Experience building and communicating a multi-quarter strategic roadmap for a platform organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and coach a Platform Engineering team across levels from junior to staff.
• Own roadmap delivery and technical quality for cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and tooling.
• Champion a platform-as-a-product mindset; treat internal developers as customers and prioritize DevEx impact.
• Ensure operational excellence: on-call, incident response, blameless post-mortems, and psychological safety.
• Evaluate build-vs-buy decisions for tooling and balance internal vs. third-party solutions.
• Maintain compliance and security in a regulated betting/gaming environment within CI/CD and infrastructure changes.
• Explore AI-assisted engineering tools rollout while safeguarding security and governance.
• Communicate platform health and outcomes to engineering leadership with clear metrics.
