Job summary

FanDuel is seeking a Senior Platform Engineering Manager to lead Engineering Managers and Platform Engineers across multiple teams within Platform Engineering. You’ll guide the delivery and improvement of internal platform capabilities that enable engineers and AI agents to build, deploy and operate software safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Platform Engineering Director, you’ll develop managers and engineers, set direction across your area and ensure teams focus on high-impact priorities

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading across multiple engineering teams.
• Experience developing Engineering Managers and engineers, with regular coaching and career development.
• Track record delivering platform capabilities or internal products at scale that improve developer productivity, reliability or efficiency.
• Experience translating strategy into execution and aligning teams around priorities.
• Experience shaping roadmaps with Product leadership and prioritizing investments.
• Experience building internal platforms and self-service tooling with platform‑as‑a‑product principles.
• Experience using platform metrics and developer feedback to drive adoption and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering Managers and Platform Engineers across multiple teams to provide direction and alignment.
• Develop managers and engineers through coaching and career development.
• Translate Platform Engineering strategy into clear priorities and outcomes for teams.
• Collaborate with Product to shape roadmaps and investment priorities.
• Drive development and adoption of Internal Developer Platform, tooling, and APIs.
• Ensure self-service, automation, and secure-by-default workflows for engineers and AI agents.
• Provide technical and organizational leadership, influencing architecture and engineering direction.
• Remove blockers by managing priorities and dependencies across teams.
• Improve platform reliability using SLOs, observability, incidents, and data.
• Measure adoption and developer experience to inform priorities.
