Job summary

Fanatics Betting & Gaming is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. You will work across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD systems, and internal developer tooling to build, enhance, and support our developer platform.

You will help define standards, improve reliability and scalability, and mentor engineers while collaborating with Product Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure IT.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or software engineering.
• Proficiency with Python and Java. Familiarity with Kotlin, Go is a plus.
• Deep Kubernetes and container orchestration knowledge.
• Proven CI/CD and GitOps experience.
• Infrastructure as Code expertise (Terraform).
• Strong AWS and cloud-native experience.
• Experience operating distributed, high-availability systems.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to deliver defined projects independently.

Responsibilities

About The Team

Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S. Fanatics Casino is currently available online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Fanatics Betting and Gaming operates twenty-two retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at Northwest Stadium. About The Role

Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. This role will sit in either our Runtime/Compute or the Developer Experience/CI-CD squad. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will work across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD systems, and internal developer tooling. You will work closely with Product Engineering, Security, Infrastructure IT, and other platform teams to build, enhance, and support our developer platform. You will help define standards and best practices, and act as a force multiplier for engineering teams by improving reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.

Salary Range

$146,880 - $183,600 USD
