Job summary

Hyundai Autoever America is seeking a Manager, Platform Engineering to lead the Joliet plant's IT platform infrastructure, storage, backup, and network systems. You will guide a technical staff to ensure high availability and alignment with manufacturing objectives.

The role requires strong leadership, 10+ years managing infrastructure teams, and hands-on experience with Windows/Linux, Nimble/Alletra storage, Veeam, and Cisco networking. On-site presence is required at Joliet, IL.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree or equivalent with IT experience.
Minimum 6+ years IT experience with leadership of technical teams.
10+ years managing a technical support or infrastructure team.
Experience leading Windows and Linux server environments and virtualization.
Hands-on storage/backup experience with Nimble/Alletra and Veeam.
Strong knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
ITIL and cloud certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee platform infrastructure design, administration, and optimization for Joliet plant operations.
Lead and mentor platform engineering team to ensure 24x7 readiness and service levels.
Manage incident, problem, and change processes across platform, storage, backup, and networks.
Guide Windows/Linux server environments and underlying virtualization infrastructure.
Oversee Nimble/Alletra storage, data protection, and backup solutions (Veeam).
Direct management of Cisco network devices to ensure secure plant connectivity.
Coordinate solutions for plant operations and drive ITIL-aligned processes.
Provide on-call support and rotation for major incidents.
