Job summary

Briskteaching is seeking a seasoned Platform leader to own and grow Brisk's Platform team, the group responsible for core infrastructure, shared services, and developer experience across the company. You will balance hands-on engineering with people leadership from day one, collaborating with product, design, and executive staff to advance the roadmap and keep systems reliable at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with infrastructure focus.
• People management or tech lead experience described.
• Experience designing scalable, cloud-native AWS architectures (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and monitoring tools.
• Ability to move between infra, backend, and occasional product work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, proactive mindset, autonomous in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap and technical direction for Brisk's platform — core infrastructure, CI/CD, developer tooling, and shared services.
• Mentor and grow a small platform/infrastructure engineering team (or grow into management).
• Stay hands-on: design, build, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure powering Brisk's products.
• Drive reliability and scalability as the user base expands.
• Lead observability, monitoring, incident response, and on-call practices.
• Partner with product engineers to keep development workflows smooth and production stable.
• Make architectural calls balancing rapid product development with long-term reliability and security.
