Job summary

Walmart Global Tech in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems. You will drive DevOps, cloud cost optimization, and scalable, secure development while mentoring engineers across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area with 5 years’ software engineering experience.
• Or 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• 2 years’ supervisory experience.
• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems aligned with priorities and roadmap milestones.
• Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks for scalable, secure development.
• Drive full software development lifecycle across multiple teams with DevOps practices.
• Manage cloud cost optimization and enhance automation, telemetry, and tooling.
• Mentor engineers and guide architectural decisions to ensure quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define priorities, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery.
• Foster continuous improvement of processes, tools, and products.
