Capital on Tap in London is seeking a seasoned Cloud Platform Engineer to help scale our infrastructure and redefine the developer experience. You’ll stay hands-on while mentoring teams, drive reliability, performance, and DevSecOps practices across Azure and containerised environments.

You’ll partner with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, QA, and the Head of Platform Operations to translate ideas into scalable, secure solutions and foster a culture of continuous improvement in remote,

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading Cloud/Platform engineering teams.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with engineering, QA and product.
• Strong communication bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and mentorship for engineers.
• Resolve bottlenecks, drive accountability and sustain high engagement.
• Drive adoption of AI within day-to-day operations and large projects.
• Foster open communication across remote, hybrid, and in-person environments.
• Stay hands-on in Cloud and Platform engineering and lead by example.
• Define and enforce platform engineering best practices for scalability.
• Partner with PMs, EMs, and QA to align strategy and deliver results.
• Contribute platform perspectives to product decisions balancing speed and quality.
• Proactively identify and mitigate blockers and risks.
• Embed DevSecOps principles with security, monitoring, and automation.
