Job summary

Nuuly is seeking an Engineer to mature our platform into a stable, scalable backbone for upcoming innovations. You’ll work with JVM-based tools like Kotlin, Spring, and Micronaut, and design Kubernetes services that integrate with cloud APIs such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.

You will lead design discussions, mentor teammates, and help evaluate new technologies while tackling challenges with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of server-side development experience with contributions to teams or projects.
• Knowledge of one or more server-side object-oriented programming languages.
• Understanding of streaming data, distributed system design, and messaging patterns.
• Experience and enthusiasm for testing and test-driven development (TDD).
• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with an existing codebase and toolset.
• Ability to propose and walk through solutions in informal technical leadership discussions.

Responsibilities

• Engage in discussions and decision making for new features and platform evolution
• Collaborate with the product team to design solutions for stakeholder features
• Deliver the whole lifecycle of deployable features: code, configuration, documentation, and support
• Contribute to roadmaps and process development to deliver features and evolve our architecture
• Collaborate with QA and Platform Engineering to test code and keep testing environments unblocked
