Job summary

Discord's Enterprise Technology org is building a software engineering discipline from the ground up, and this is one of its first engineering hires. The Enterprise Platform team is brand new, and you will own core domains of the platform that turns internal systems into self-service software.

You will design abstractions that hide IAM, device management, and infrastructure-as-code tools behind clean APIs and self-service portals, moving away from manual consoles toward a platform-as-a-product

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and operating production software and systems
• Production code experience in Go, Python, or TypeScript
• Hands-on IAM experience (SSO, SCIM, OAuth/OIDC, RBAC)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and CI/CD
• Ability to own projects end to end in a greenfield environment

Responsibilities

• Move device configuration into versioned, API-driven infrastructure
• Manage identity systems and app connections as code (SSO/SCIM/OAuth)
• Build deployment pipelines and provisioning patterns with CI/CD standards
• Design and ship APIs, CLIs, and portals for self-service platforms
• Own platform components from design to production with clear RFCs/docs
