Job summary

Discord is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of its Enterprise Platform, defining the technical foundation for internal systems that scale with the company.

You will build self‑service software to replace manual processes, create reusable primitives like device provisioning and IAM policy management, expose them via clean APIs and portals, and set RFCs and documentation for future hires.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building and operating production systems at a tech company, with a track record of owning complex projects from start to finish.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on IAM (SSO, SCIM, OAuth/OIDC, RBAC), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and CI/CD.
• Experience treating endpoint management as an API-driven engineering surface and a platform-as-a-product mindset.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a founder’s drive to build from scratch.
• Bonus qualifications include experience with Okta, Jamf, or Intune, identity governance for non-human principals, and a background at a high-growth consumer tech company.

The US base salary range is $248,000 to $279,000, plus equity and benefits.
