Job summary

Temporal in New York City is seeking a platform engineer to own the core infrastructure. You will manage bare-metal fleets across regions, provisioning, configuration, and observability, with a focus on latency-sensitive services and Solana validator support.

You will design and ship internal Rust libraries used by all services, implement signing/credential policies, and build deploy tooling to update production without disrupting transactions. This is a high-autonomy role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Rust, including crate API design.
• Experience building internal libraries or platform APIs.
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Production bare-metal experience across regions.
• Secrets, PKI, and credential rotation in production.

Responsibilities

• Own internal Rust libraries used by services: logging, metrics, tracing and config.
• Build policy enforcement proxies for signing and key access.
• Own platform end to end: provisioning, configuration, secrets, delivery, observability, on-call.
• Make host configuration reproducible across multi-region bare-metal fleet.
• Develop deploy tooling to update production without impacting transactions.
• Operate Solana validators and their supporting infrastructure.
