CGI in Lafayette, Louisiana is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, implement, and manage platform services for modern applications. The role supports container orchestration, automation, and lifecycle management in a hybrid work model in our Lafayette office.

You will upgrade platforms, troubleshoot issues, and assist application teams with onboarding while ensuring security and operational standards are met. This position blends hands-on engineering with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in platform engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure support.
• Experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, or similar orchestration technologies.
• Familiarity with automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code concepts.
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and platform support processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and maintain platform infrastructure and shared services.
• Support container orchestration platforms and related components.
• Perform platform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues affecting availability, performance, or integration.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and deployment processes.
• Support application teams with onboarding, configuration, and platform usage.
• Ensure platform operations comply with security, documentation, and operational standards.
