Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Platform Engineer to design, develop, and optimize Kubernetes platforms for enterprise AI capabilities. The role is 100% on-site at the Bethesda, MD client site, requiring deep OS, hardware, GPU, and high-speed networking expertise.

You will build scalable Kubernetes architectures, implement IaC tooling, and develop secure CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD, while ensuring compliance with federal security standards and DoD guidelines.

Qualifications

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise Kubernetes platforms for performance and reliability.
• Develop IaC using Terraform, Salt, Ansible, Bash, Python, or equivalent.
• Build secure, automated CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD).
• Troubleshoot complex systems across cloud, network, and platform layers.
• Support DoD/compliance with federal security standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise Kubernetes platforms.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Salt, Ansible, Bash, Python).
• Collaborate on secure CI/CD pipelines including GitLab CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot issues across cloud, network, and platform layers.
• Maintain documentation and Linux best practices; support Authority to Operate.
