Job summary

Lumos is building the next generation of identity automation. We’re hiring a Software Engineer to help evolve our Integrations Platform, connecting cloud identity providers, HR systems, on-prem apps, and ITSMs.

You’ll design robust connector frameworks, build high-performance, secure integrations, and improve developer experience for internal and external teams. You’ll collaborate with platform, product, and infrastructure teams, own architectural decisions, mentor teammates, and ship platform

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a backend or platform engineer delivering scalable services.
• Experience with enterprise integration patterns (webhooks, event queues, third-party APIs) and hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript and strong API design skills.
• Familiarity with identity and access management systems (SCIM, OAuth2, SAML) integrations.
• Strong focus on developer experience and shipping platform features at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core components of the Integrations Platform including APIs and orchestration.
• Extend the integration framework for authentication, retries, errors, observability, and onboarding.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate external systems like Okta, Workday, Azure AD, and ServiceNow.
• Build SDKs, CLI tools, and documentation to accelerate internal and external development.
• Lead by example through architecture reviews, mentorship, and code pairing.
• Champion resilience, observability, and scalability across the stack.
