Job summary

Lumos is seeking an AI Agent Engineer to build and own core AI features, and to ensure the health of engineering systems. You will work across the stack, from frontend (React) to backend (Python/Flask) and GraphQL APIs, shaping scalable, safe agent orchestration.

Leadership opportunities arise early as the team grows. You will mentor peers, design robust agent SDKs, and collaborate with security and operations to govern and audit the platform.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience with 5+ years building end-to-end production systems.
• Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, Python and React; API design and system architecture.
• Familiarity with identity/security contexts and observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of agent pipelines and modular SDK components.
• Architect composable agent SDKs with safety and fallback strategies.
• Design tracing tools and dashboards for agent performance and quality.
• Own the agent lifecycle from chaining and testing to CI/CD and production rollout.
• Collaborate with security and operations for governance and auditability.
• Mentor teammates on observability and resilience best practices.
• Develop customer-facing features across frontend, communication layer, and backend.
