Job summary

Sift is hiring for a senior infrastructure/SRE role to design and operate the Core Platform that powers our online systems. You will build self-healing, multi-AZ deployments across AWS/GCP and influence the reliability of high-volume workloads.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Software Engineer focused on infrastructure/platform services or SRE.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Scala or Python.
• Extensive experience building and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
• Expertise in infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in monitoring and alerting systems, open-source or commercial.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE, AWS ECS).
• Experience troubleshooting production issues and building automated solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build immutable, multi-AZ/multi-region infrastructure that is self-healing.
• Implement multi-region deployments and targeted regional routing strategies.
• Optimize development and testing workflows for speed and reliability.
• Create dynamic environments for services to interact in real time.
• Develop automated deployment and monitoring bots with Slack integrations.
• Participate in on-call support and incident response on a 12/7 basis roughly every 3–4 weeks.
