Job summary

RTX is seeking a Platform Engineer in Marlborough, MA to integrate software (C++, C, Java) on RedHat and Windows, within a Layer3 network. You will implement OS-level configurations to support applications and cyber requirements, using agile practices and CI/CD automation.

You will work onsite with occasional travel to stakeholder sites, collaborating with engineers at all levels to debug and improve stability across multiple baselines and platforms.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Bash).
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., ClearCase, Git).
• Ability to obtain/maintain US Interim Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve the DevSecOps pipeline through test automation.
• Handle emergencies that stop the pipeline and resolve quickly.
• Collaborate with engineers across levels.
• Debug and fix stability issues in software baselines.
• Configure and install Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS and network devices.
