Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a System Development Engineer for the PEET team to design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure, tools, and systems for a highly-available PKI platform. This role requires an active TS/SCI security clearance and the ability to obtain a polygraph for government work.

You will contribute to building one of the world's largest cloud infrastructures and support critical U.S. government workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional) required.
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure, tools and systems to provide a highly-available and resilient platform for our customers' and our team's workloads.
• This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week in every six. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.
