Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Arlington, VA is hiring a System Development Engineer to support AWS Cryptography and PKI Services.

You will design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure and tools to provide a highly available platform for customers and internal workloads. This role involves on-call duties roughly every six weeks, focusing on fault tolerance, root cause analysis, and preventing repeat incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP required.
• 2+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 1+ years of designing or architecting scalable systems.
• Knowledge of networks, storage, and operating systems.
• Experience programming in C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, PowerShell or Ruby.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure, tools and systems to provide a highly-available and resilient platform for our customers' and our team's workloads.
• This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week in every six, with focus on fault tolerance and root-cause analysis to prevent repeat incidents.
