Job summary

Equinix ищет Senior Staff Platform Engineer для глобальной команды Platform Infrastructure Engineering. Задача — проектировать масштабируемые архитектуры для сбора телеметрии и мониторинга, устанавливая стандарты для инженерных команд и обеспечивая качество платформы.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ведущий инжиниринг инфраструктуры: автоматизация конфигурационного управления 2 000+ VM, десятков кластеров Kubernetes, 600+ локальных серверов.
• Сотрудничество с глобальными командами над безопасностью и стандартами платформы.
• Реализация GitOps для развёртываний, управления дрейфом и портала разработчиков.
• Выстраивание отношений с внутренними заказчиками и стейкхолдерами продукта.
• Участие в планировании и реализации нескольких проектов вместе с PM/продакт-менеджерами.
• Участие в сменах на случай аварийной поддержки с чёткими процессами.

We are looking for a Senior Staff Platform Engineer to join our highly skilled and globally distributed Platform Infrastructure Engineering team, designing solutions for monitoring, troubleshooting, and obtaining telemetry from our Equinix worldwide network. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing robust architectures that handle large-scale data, establishing standards and guidance for engineering teams, and ensuring the quality of the platform.

• Drive infrastructure automation for configuration management of 2,000+ VMs, dozens of Kubernetes clusters, and 600+ on‑premises servers, ensuring consistency across 120+ distributed Equinix datacenters
• Collaborate with global teams (AMER, EMEA, and APAC) on security, networking, and platform standards
• Implement GitOps practices for deployments, drift management, and developer portal
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and product stakeholders to design effective and scalable solutions
• Work with technical project managers and product management teams to define and plan multiple projects
• Participate in on‑call shifts with clear processes and support

Требования:

• Strong experience managing on‑premises Kubernetes clusters at scale
• Deep proficiency in Linux systems
• Hands‑on experience with Proxmox and/or VMware
• Proficiency in virtualization and containerization (e.g. QEMU, KVM, LXC, Docker)
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet/Ansible/Chef
• Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling (e.g. ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Familiarity with secrets management processes and tooling, such as HashiCorp Vault
• Background in distributed systems
