Job summary

Exiger is hiring a Platform Engineer to build and operate the cloud substrate for federal programs, including AWS and GovCloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines with security gates. You’ll enable reusable patterns, SBOMs, and cost governance across a portfolio while collaborating with program teams and security on ATO progress.

You will sit in customer-facing discussions about cloud posture, contribute to FedRAMP authorization efforts, and own on-call responsibilities for the shared

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production cloud engineering on AWS
• Hands-on experience inside a FedRAMP boundary
• Strong Terraform skills with module authorship
• Production Kubernetes / EKS experience
• Production CI/CD with security gates
• Observability ownership at scale
• Experience building reusable platforms/tools

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the reference cloud substrate across programs
• Own the Terraform module library as a product
• Operate Kubernetes platform patterns for programs
• Build CI/CD paved road with security gates
• Build observability patterns (dashboards, alerts, SLOs)
• Own cloud cost across the portfolio
• Support program teams adopting the substrate
• Participate in customer-context conversations on cloud posture
• Carry on-call for the shared platform surface
