Job summary

Baseten is seeking software engineers to join our Platform team within Infrastructure. You will own deployment platform, pipelines, and rollout safety to let engineers deploy changes quickly with minimal risk.

As an early Platform member, you will design and build CI/CD infrastructure across Kubernetes clusters and global regions, enabling safe progressive delivery and automations. We value Go and Python expertise, GitOps experience, and a passion for scalable, observable systems with a bias

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Go and/or Python.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based deployment at scale.
• Experience building or operating CD platforms.
• Familiarity with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD or Flux).
• Committed to safe production rollouts and minimizing blast radius.
• Excellent developer tool culture with open-source contributions a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build continuous deployment infrastructure across dozens of Kubernetes clusters and global regions.
• Develop systems for progressive delivery, including canary releases, staged rollouts, and automated rollback.
• Improve engineering velocity by reducing friction in the release pipeline and automating manual workflows.
• Work with product and infrastructure teams to ensure services are deployable, observable, and resilient at scale.
• Implement deployment methodologies such as GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, and progressive delivery patterns.
• Build systems that evaluate deployment health using metrics, logs, traces, and alerts to trigger safe rollbacks.
• Explore agent-assisted or autonomous deployment workflows using modern AI tooling.
