Job summary

Baseten is seeking experienced Software Engineers to join our Platform team in building internal infrastructure for deployment, pipelines, and rollout safety across multiple Kubernetes clusters worldwide.

You will own the deployment platform, release pipelines, and safety mechanisms to enable rapid yet reliable changes. Passion for elegant, scalable systems and open-source tooling is a plus for this role.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Go and/or Python.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based deployment systems at scale.
• Experience building or operating continuous deployment platforms.
• Familiarity with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Commitment to safe production rollouts and minimizing blast radius.
• Excellent developer tool culture with best practices; open-source tools preferred.
• Ability to work independently on ambiguous, high-impact technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design and build continuous deployment infrastructure across Kubernetes clusters and regions.
• Develop systems for progressive delivery: canaries, staged rollouts, automated rollback.
• Improve release velocity by reducing friction in the pipeline and automating workflows.
• Ensure services are deployable, observable, and resilient at scale with product and infra teams.
• Implement deployment methodologies like GitOps and infrastructure-as-code.
• Build systems to evaluate deployment health using metrics, logs, traces, and alerts.
• Explore agent-assisted or autonomous deployment workflows using modern AI tooling.
