Job summary

Baseten is seeking talented and experienced Software Engineers to join our Platform team within the Infrastructure organization. You will own the deployment platform, release pipelines, and rollout safety mechanisms that allow engineers across Baseten to deploy changes rapidly while minimizing operational risk.

Our focus is on elegant, scalable solutions—from monorepos and fast CI pipelines to GitOps and progressive delivery patterns.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Go and/or Python.
Experience with Kubernetes-based deployment at scale.
Experience building or operating CD platforms.
Familiarity with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
Commitment to safe production rollouts and minimising blast radius.
Open-source developer tools experience is a plus.
Ability to work independently on high-impact technical challenges.

Responsibilities

Design and build CD infrastructure across Kubernetes clusters and regions.
Develop progressive delivery, canary releases, staged rollouts, and automated rollback.
Improve velocity by reducing release friction and automating workflows.
Ensure services are deployable, observable, and resilient at scale.
Evolve deployment methodologies such as GitOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, and progressive delivery.
Build systems to evaluate deployment health using metrics, logs, traces, and alerts.
Explore agent-assisted or autonomous deployment workflows using AI tooling.
