Job summary

Etsy is seeking a Software Engineer in Developer Platform Engineering to improve development workflows. You will build infrastructure and tooling enabling engineers to write, test, and ship code efficiently.

The role focuses on CI/CD, dev environments, and SDLC, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager. This full-time position sits near Etsy's Brooklyn Office with flexible in-office and occasional travel expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code and automation tooling.
• Proficiency with Terraform and related IaC tools.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef or equivalent.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes and engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with squads to improve developer velocity and reduce friction in the pipeline.
• Build and maintain infrastructure tooling and platforms used by engineers.
• Design reliable dev environments and robust CI/CD workflows.
• Create clear documentation and protocols for engineering teams.
• Balance feature delivery with code quality and test coverage.
