Job summary

Abridge, a healthcare AI startup, is hiring a Staff Platform Engineer to scale our cloud infrastructure, developer platform, and operational maturity. The role focuses 80% on infrastructure and 20% on application software, helping drive multi-tenant, multi-region capabilities and secure-by-default practices.

You will shape long-term architecture, build modular Terraform platforms, and advance CI/CD pipelines, observability, and self-service workflows across a rapidly-growing engineering

Qualifications

• Experience designing large-scale Kubernetes platforms and multi-tenant clusters.
• Proven ability to implement IaC with Terraform and modular architectures.
• Strong CI/CD expertise including pipelines, release management, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with GCP and cloud-native security controls.
• Deep focus on reliability, observability, and incident response.
• Familiarity with cost and capacity planning for cloud infra.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve cloud infrastructure platforms for multi-tenant, multi-region deployments.
• Lead architecture evolution with reliability, security, and scalability boundaries.
• Design pipelines, release tooling, and self-service workflows for a fast-growing org.
• Scale secure-by-default practices: least privilege, audits, and policy enforcement.
• Create reusable Terraform modules and golden deployment paths.
• Advance testing pipelines: end-to-end UI tests and hyperscale load tests.
• Improve observability, incident response, and SLO-driven reliability.
• Bridge dev and production to maximize velocity and minimize drift.
• Collaborate with security and compliance to balance standardization with flexibility.
• Influence cost and capacity strategy across cloud environments.
• Mentor the engineering team and evangelize cloud-native platform practices.
• Be a public evangelist for Abridge in the platform engineering community.
