Job summary

StraitSys Inc. is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the delivery platform used across our enterprise IT organization.

The platform uses GitLab Ultimate, AKS, and Azure managed services, providing shared CI/CD templates, security controls, and deployment automation for containerized microservices. You will influence platform architecture, work with developers and infrastructure engineers, and define governance across cloud environments with code-reviewed changes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Government / multi-cloud environments with compliance boundaries.
• Hands-on GitLab CI/CD with reusable templates and pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, patch, backup, and restore self-managed GitLab Ultimate and RHEL servers.
• Configure and administer GitLab add-ons and integrations, including GitLab Duo Enterprise.
• Deploy and configure new GitLab instances across separate cloud environments.
• Design GitLab group/project structure, permissions, and shared templates.
• Build and enforce security/compliance controls as code within pipelines and policies.
• Own the shared CI/CD template library and onboard new services to the platform.
• Define container build standards and multi-stage builds with hardened base images.
• Design pipeline structures with environment promotion and deployment approvals.
• Integrate automated testing, code coverage, and security scanning into pipelines.
