Corning is seeking an AMT Platform Engineering professional to support glass and fiber equipment for capacity projects in OFC manufacturing. You will assist with capital equipment planning, support tech synergy, and drive design reviews.

The role requires collaboration across global teams and travel within NC and international sites. Responsibilities include selecting technologies, leading design reviews, testing improvements, and producing project documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent with technical experience.
• Experience leading small teams and projects for capital manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to participate in technology selection and design activities.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multinational teams.

Responsabilités

• Partner with platform owners and teams to specify delivered technology.
• Support capital expansion projects with project team interactions.
• Research obsolete parts and lead design reviews for alternatives.
• Evaluate sites to assess equipment configurations and changes.
• Manage design reviews when integrating new technology.
• Design and test improvements for glassmaking and draw platforms.
• Develop documentation (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) for equipment/procedures.
• Assist in solving critical problems and planning replacements to prevent downtime.
• Coordinate with CAD and PIMS to ensure documentation standards.
