Corning Inc. in North Carolina seeks a Construction Project Leader within the Advanced Manufacturing Technology group to drive equipment deployment, commissioning, and startup for Optical Communications manufacturing systems.

You will lead capital projects to expand capacity and capability at global facilities. This role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 5+ years in project leadership for capital equipment, plus 4+ years in scope-of-work, vendor management, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years in leadership/management roles for capital manufacturing equipment projects or similar manufacturing engineering leadership.
• 4+ years developing Scope of Work documents, Purchase Orders, and vendor management.
• 4+ years coordinating or leading cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead individual and subprojects for programs with $1M–$15M scope in North America or international locations.
• Oversee installation phase including safety, scheduling, and contractor management.
• Provide day-to-day tactical field leadership and coordinate with OFC Tech Development and Division Engineering.
• Build project teams, communicate with plant leaders, and travel to project sites as needed.
• Manage deliverables, schedule, budgets, quality, and safety within approved scope.
