CGI in Lafayette, Louisiana is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, implement, and manage platform services for modern applications. The role supports container orchestration, automation, and lifecycle management in a hybrid work model in our Lafayette office.

You will upgrade platforms, troubleshoot issues, and assist application teams with onboarding while ensuring security and operational standards are met. This position blends hands-on engineering with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in platform engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure support.
• Experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, or similar orchestration technologies.
• Familiarity with automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code concepts.

Position Description

Supports the design, implementation, and administration of platform services used to host and operate modern applications. Works with container platforms, orchestration technologies, automation tools, and shared services to improve platform reliability, scalability, and usability. Contributes to platform lifecycle management and supports the adoption of standard engineering practices across environments.

This position is located in our Lafayette, Louisiana office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience if permitted by contract; experience in platform engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure support; Experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, or similar orchestration technologies; Familiarity with automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code concepts; Understanding of monitoring, logging, and platform support processes; Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $63,700.00 $156,700.00.
